HEDW is run by volunteers. People just like you. We are always looking for new people to help out with the leadership and other activities of value to our membership.
Join the Board
Help shape our organization, while being part of a strong, dedicated team! Responsibilities include
- In-person attendance of three board meetings per year (two during the conference, before and after)
- Participation in monthly board meetings by conference call
- Participation in planning of the annual conference
- Special projects (for example strategic initiatives, such as projecting growth of the HEDW organization, or the HEDW online presence).
Board positions are elected in the spring prior to the conference. Nominations will be accepted throughout the year, but nominations will close in late March or early April. Feel free to nominate yourself.
Volunteer
Sometimes the Board needs assistance with special initiatives or operational activities. If you would like to make yourself available to help out, please contact us. We are looking for volunteers in the following areas
- Tagging presentations
- Web site maintenance
