The challenges faced by centrally provided IT services (aging ERP systems, rapidly changing business needs, cloud systems / data fragmentation) are often replicated at a smaller scale within schools that house their own IT departments. One of the top business schools in the country, the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, has had its own ecosystem of applications and local data for twenty five years, and is working to better integrate with campus-wide systems and to enable its internal customers and administration to strategically stay ahead of the curve.
