Business Intelligence Emerging Trends (Keynote)

Presentation Summary

Keynote Address: Nancy Williams

Every year the Business Intelligence industry embraces new technological, process, and organizational advancements. This year’s trends include a fascination with “Big Data”, Advanced Analytics, and formalized Governance. While emerging trends may have genuine potential to contribute to significant BI advancement, it is not uncommon for those who have been in the industry for some time to view some emerging trends with a measure of skepticism.

This keynote will provide an expert historical perspective on what is new and what is not. It will also discuss current emerging trends and their potential and limitations in providing value to your BI Initiative. It will also make the case for paying attention to BI critical success factors that have not changed. Finally, it will provide practical tips for how organizations can blend the old and the new to achieve optimal success.
