Presentation Summary
Notre Dame is using a database called Snowflake that is built for the cloud to meet some of its data warehousing needs where other solutions could not meet performance requirements. The biggest advantage Snowflake provides is that it allows them to just move the data in and go. There is no performance tuning required and it’s just fast. They were able to dramatically improve report execution times for their customers who were using very complex queries in their reports. They were also able to do fast campus wide space utilization analysis on over half a billion rows of data.Presentation Speaker(s)
