Delivering KPIs to Evaluate College Performance
The Provost at BGSU has developed a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be used as metrics for evaluating each college within the University. He then turned to the University’s Data Warehouse team to deliver a tool to assess each college’s current performance, develop a baseline and establish future goals for each indicator, and measure each college’s performance moving forward. These metrics focus on student enrollment, academic performance, retention, progression, graduation rates, financial contribution margin ratio and student participation in experiential learning courses. The Data Warehouse team then set forth to provide the capability to monitor the Provost’s Performance Metrics for each college by department and academic plan.
