BGSU Financial Analytics Part 2 - Financial Decision Making
At HEDW 2016, BGSU presented its plan to provide analytical reporting of financial data. Working in concert with the Controller’s Office and Human Resources, the data warehouse team has completed development on a subject area that enables an analysis of all student charges, student payments, and faculty payroll allocated to class sections on a per unit basis. This subject area has been used to generate a contribution margin ratio for each college and department across BGSU as well as answer questions such as what effect will the closing of a particular residence hall have on University dining services.
