Redefining IR Mission and Operations under the Leadership of Chief Analytics Officer at Ithaca College

Presentation Summary

Under the Chief Analytics Officer, the Office of Analytics and Institutional Research was established at Ithaca College in 2016. This session presents: 1) the emerging national trend of redefining IR by embracing predictive analytics and BI technologies; 2) how this four-year private comprehensive residential college in Upstate NY, has responded to this trend; 3) how IR missions and operations are redefined under CAO; and 4) how the office is advancing the culture of data-informed decision making across campus. It addresses the urgency and significance of redefining IR missions and operations in response to the dynamic changes of the higher education.
