The Evolution of Data Governance, Creating Synergy with Student Reporting

Presentation Summary

Our presentation will review Stanford’s Data Governance program. In addition, we will demonstrate the approach that has been taken at Stanford, where data governance and BI reporting proceed hand-in-hand, and where data governance provides various kinds of key metadata, beyond just definitions of data fields. We’ll describe how the stewardship process operates with our student data group and how that led to the successful integration of data governance in business intelligence reporting projects.
